My plan for this weekend was to alternate between playing Assassin’s Creed 2, exploring The Sims 3 new World Adventurer expansion pack, and eating pie.
Now, I’m not someone who just whips up a new Sim and is off to explore an Egyptian tomb. Rather, I selected the most likely family member from my 10 generation quest family line and, once she had a milestone birthday and was ready for a little R&R abroad, made the call to the travel agency. She packed her bags, walked out of the house, and the game crashed.
I reloaded to find everything reset at the point where I had installed the expansion pack that morning. Frustrating, but my own fault for not saving. So I play through again, carefully saving before making the call. The game crashed while saving. My whole neighborhood is corrupt.
Basically, the game is reset to when I bought it. Months ago. And there’s nothing I can do about it.
So this is Donna, and the first thing she’s doing is getting on a damn plane to France.
At least I have pie.
