A Patch? Really??

Warhammer Online was released to the general public yesterday.  I, uh, started playing yesterday.  (Actually, it was complete coincidence, but I digress.)  Besides installing the 10GB base game, I went through a good 45 mins of “patching” a game that had just come out of beta yesterday.  Today, I go to boot up for a night of epic Friday gameplay and BAM - Patching!  WTF, peeps?!
