I was honestly surprised at how few people, even among my “FuckYeahBBSs” friends, were familiar with the campy cult subculture that surrounds the story of Eris and the Apple of Dischord. Maybe I should have handed out old-school xeroxes of the Principia Discordia? The Black Iron Prison documents? I mean, Church of the Subgenius? Every Ostrich is a Czar? alt.slack posts from 1989?
