Thinking of how many hours I’ve spent in Stormwind, I was still blown away to see this aerial shot. It’s really spectacular. If this is what flying mounts in Azeroth mean, I think players will be appreciating the Old Kingdom in a whole new way. SQUEE!

Well I just found something to replace my /wave macro.

After not playing for six months, coming back only to switch both faction and server, and now having a “job” which requires a lot of my “time,” I’ve finally caught up to a reasonable level that I’m ready to get back into 10 & 25 man raids (i.e. all 232/245 gear except where highest GS is not BiS for me). Wooo!

Sidenote: I am loving wowhead & wowarmory’s new preview tools. The image above is from wowhead’s “expand” feature which lets you zoom in and rotate your toon, then snap a screenshot on an all black background (which I then backed out to transparent in Photoshop and saved down to .png).

“Women Fighters in Reasonable Armor” got the BoingBoing nod yesterday. I swear I’ve seen a similar collection before, but it looks like this came about two weeks ago. Ah well, it’s a sweet gallery worth a look.
In other news, anyone frustrated that there’s no Skyrim trailer showing a female fighter in gameplay? One thing I loved about Oblivion was the fantastic, realistic armor sets for women, and I can’t wait to see what they’ve done for the next installment. Positively giddy!

Of course, whatever armor they go with, I both anticipate and dread looting and trucking the 1000s of sets of it back to the vendor to cash in for gold. Sigh. I spend less of the game being an Epic Fighter!!! and more being a pack mule.
