Hyperbole and a Half has been on hiatus for a bit, but just swooped back down on the scene with this fantastic post about an episode of depression.
It’s somehow comforting to know that the suckfest that occurs in one’s head during those times isn’t unique. I think it’s [a little] easier to avoid the slippery slope of utter isolation and “why me” if you can recognize that the symptoms of a mental short circuit aren’t unique to you and are not really your whole reality. If that makes sense…

My brother has a tattoo of Opus, leaping through the air, sword drawn and dressed as Robin Hood, on his ass. Every time I ACK and no one gets it, I has a little sad inside. This was my childhood.
